Here’s How CoolSculpting® Works
CoolSculpting® uses a patented freezing energy that’s designed to harmlessly penetrate dermal tissue. This allows the energy wavelengths to hit fat cells clustered beneath the skin’s surface, causing them to freeze over and crystallize. At this point, the crystallized fat cells “break,” which causes them to leak and shrink in size.
Over a period of weeks, the body flushes out the shrunken fat cells, leaving behind noticeable body contouring results.
CoolSculpting® is completely non-invasive, so there’s no need for anesthesia or stitches. Most CoolSculpting® treatments take an hour to perform, and are done in-house by a CoolSculpting® technician.
Candidates for CoolSculpting® Treatments
The best candidates for CoolSculpting® treatments are those individuals who are within 15 to 30 pounds of their ideal weight and have stubborn fat that won’t respond to diet and exercise.
Ideal candidates should also have good skin laxity to support their results. Those people with looser skin may want to combine their CoolSculpting® treatments with non-surgical skin-tightening procedures.
