Botox® for Hyperhidrosis

Put an end to excessive sweating with Botox® hyperhidrosis treatments by the experts at Yaletown Laser Centre.

How Does BOTOX® for Hyperhidrosis Work?

You may know Botox® as an FDA-approved anti-aging injection, but it turns out it’s also an effective excessive sweating treatment. Hyperhidrosis is excessive sweating that occurs when the body’s cooling mechanism is overactive. It can have serious physical, social, and emotional consequences.

Botox® is Health Canada approved and effectively reduces sweating by blocking the nerves that supply sweat glands. OnabotulinumtoxinA (Botox®) is a natural protein that temporarily blocks the secretion of chemicals that turn on the body’s sweat glands. Botox® has been shown to reduce sweating by 82%-87%.

Benefits of using Botox® as an excessive sweating treatment include:

  • Safe and effective
  • Used to treat hands, feet, forehead, scalp and underarms
  • Improve self-confidence in social settings
