1. Sunscreen:

This is probably like beating a dead horse but wearing sunscreen is the single easiest way to look younger for life. Approximately 90% of wrinkles are from sun exposure. It is far easier to prevent the damage than to fix it after it’s occurred.

2. Clean makeup brushes:

A study conducted in Britain found that 72% of women never wash their brushes or sponges. These applicators collect dirt and bacteria and can cause some serious breakouts. Loose powder brushes should be washed every two or three weeks and foundation brushes should be washed once a week.

3. Mixed nuts:

This one comes as no surprise. Your diet has a massive impact on your skin and nuts are a great way to stay looking young. Brazil nuts are high in selenium, which increases skin elasticity and may decrease the risk of skin cancer.

4. Use serum:

Serum is far more concentrated than cream or lotion, meaning you only need a small amount daily to achieve results. Look for a serum with antioxidants, the skin’s defense against stress!

5. Clean your phone:

According to a study conducted by the University of Stanford, your phone can get more germ-infested than a public toilet! The glass touchscreens are the home to many bacteria and viruses and are so good at sharing them that they may be as bad as a sneeze directly in your face.

6. Drop dairy:

Dairy products contain cow hormones that stimulate your oil glands and your pores and lead to acne.

7. Use retinol:

Using retinol boosts collagen production to keep the skin firm and youthful and also helps skin cell turnover!

8. Go to bed early:

Sleep deprivation lowers circulation, which is why you look washed out and pale. Sleep is the best time to rejuvenate your skin so despite how entertaining your text conversation might be, just go to bed and carry it on tomorrow.

9. Exfoliate:

Enlarged pores are on of the biggest beauty complaints throughout the world. Clear out the gunk by exfoliating regularly!

10. Drink merlot:

Well this one sounds fun! Resveratrol, a powerful antioxidant found in red grape skins, has been found to prevent the lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin caused by things like smog and second hand smoke. You have never had a better excuse to grab a glass of merlot!

11. Take your makeup off before sleeping:

Dry skin and even skin dandruff can be the result of leaving makeup and dirt on your skin before going to bed. This same dirt and makeup can also clog pores. Do yourself a favour, and spend 5 minutes to take your makeup off.

12. Stay out of hot water:

Despite the fact that a hot shower in the morning or before bed can feel great, it’s not the best thing for your skin. It strips your skin of essential oils but also creates a mild burn.
